Men’s Style Roundup | Best Online Reads of Q2 2014
Ladies and gentlemen, we have officially passed the first half of 2014 and I hope everyone is having an amazing year so far.
The second quarter of the year has been an exciting one and whenever I had a moment, took some time to read, learn and get inspired by other men’s style blogs around the world.
With that said, I wanted to publish my second instalment of what I feel my readers would benefit the most from based on style articles published in Q2 of 2014.
Overall, there are a total of 4 that I would encourage you to read. Feel free to let me know what you think:
Site: Fashion Beans
Article: Style Decades Revisited: The Fifties
I am a huge fan of Fashion Beans as they consistently push out great quality for men when it comes to style content. I especially like this article as it deals with some timeless garments and accessories that are making a comeback in men’s style. As we all know, style is very cyclical and fashions of yesteryear will one day be trending in menswear stores across the globe once again.
Site: Perfect Gentleman
Article: Cut n’ Sew: Tame & Taper Your Jacket Sleeve
Sometimes, simplicity will provide you with enough depth and get it’s point across. This is exactly what the Perfect Gentleman was able to pull off with this short article. A picture truly is worth a thousand words as the two in this article demonstrate (The un-tapered versus tapered sleeve).
Site: Real Men Real Style
Article: How to Fold a Man’s Dress Shirt: Travel Tips for Folding Shirts
When I read Antonio’s articles, I sit back, enjoy and learn something new. The detailed infographic alone makes this a true gem and something to reference whenever the need to travel arises as it demonstrates the steps to fold a dress shirt perfectly. I highly recommend you give this a view and keep it bookmarked for when you need it.
Article: Ask a Woman: The Do’s and Don’ts of Compromise
Face it, we all have relationship problems and as men, come to the realization that we can’t always get our way. Dappered does a great job of listing in the article what are some things worth standing your ground on and ones you shouldn’t make a priority in your relationship. Not a style article, I know, but relationships are a popular topic by my readers and it’s always good to get tips to become better men in all areas of our life.
There you have it. Feel free to let me know what you think of my recommendations and post some that you feel were great reads in Q2 of 2014. Like always, I look forward to your responses.
